And it came to pass, when he was in a certain city,
behold a man full of leprosy: who seeing Jesus fell on
his face, and besought him, saying, Lord, IF THOU
WILT, THOU CANST make me clean.
And he put forth his hand, and touched him, saying,
I WILL: BE THOU CLEAN. And immediately the
leprosy departed from him.
And he charged him to tell no man: but go, and shew
thyself to the priest, and offer for thy cleansing,
according as Moses commanded, for a testimony unto
them.
Luke 5:12-14

1. This man had a serious problem, a serious case of
the disease, leprosy. He was full of leprosy. That
means he was covered from head to toe with leprous
skin.
And it came to pass, when he was in a certain city,
behold a man FULL OF LEPROSY: who seeing Jesus
fell on his face, and besought him, saying, Lord, if thou
wilt, thou canst make me clean.
Luke 5:12

2. This man knew that if Jesus wanted to heal him, He
could.
And it came to pass, when he was in a certain city, behold
a man full of leprosy: who seeing Jesus fell on his face,
and besought him, saying, Lord, IF THOU WILT, THOU
CANST make me clean.
Luke 5:12

3. This man found out for all of us whether it was the
will of God for us to be healed. Jesus revealed that it
is the will of God for you to be healed when He said,
“I will, be thou clean.”
And he put forth his hand, and touched him, saying, I
WILL: BE THOU CLEAN. And immediately the leprosy
departed from him.
Luke 5:13

4. Jesus was not afraid to touch the leper even though he
had a terrible contagious skin disease.
And HE PUT FORTH HIS HAND, AND TOUCHED
HIM, saying, I will: be thou clean. And immediately the
leprosy departed from him.
Luke 5:13

5. Through the touch, Jesus did not get leprosy. The
man rather got healing. Do not be afraid that you will
contract the disease or the problem of the person you
are laying hands on. The power of God is greater than
the power of darkness. When hands are laid on you,
your disease will not enter the man of God. Rather, the
power of God will enter you and drive out the disease.
And he put forth his hand, and TOUCHED HIM, saying, I
will: be thou clean. And immediately the leprosy departed
from him.
Luke 5:13

6. Jesus told the man not to tell anyone, but to show
himself to the priest. Jesus is not trying to impress
anyone. That is why He says, “Do not tell anyone.”
Jesus Christ does not need to impress us.
And he charged him to TELL NO MAN: but GO, AND
SHEW THYSELF TO THE PRIEST, and offer for
thy cleansing, according as Moses commanded, for a
testimony unto them.
Luke 5:14

7. The miracle healing of the leper demonstrates the love
of God, the compassion of Jesus Christ, the greatness
of Jesus Christ and the power of the Holy Spirit.
… For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he
might destroy the works of the devil.
1 John 3:8
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten
Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish,
but have everlasting life.
John 3:16

8. “I will, be thou clean.” It is the will of God for you
to be healed, delivered and saved. It is not the will of
God that you should die and go to hell. It is the will of
God that you be saved and washed with the blood of
Jesus. Open your heart and receive the blood of Jesus
today.

The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some
men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward,
NOT WILLING THAT ANY SHOULD PERISH, but that
all should come to repentance.
2 Peter 3:9
