And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And

Revelation 1:17

1. Jesus is the First and the Last Saviour; there will
be no other saviour. There was no other saviour.
There is no other saviour. There shall be no other
saviour.
Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none
other name under heaven given among men, whereby
we must be saved.
Acts 4:12
For there is one God, and one mediator between God
and men, the man Christ Jesus;
1 Timothy 2:5

The First and the Last Train
I was once at a train station deep in the heart of France. I
desperately needed to get a train to take me to Switzerland,
where my grandmother lived. I had run out of money and needed
to get home again. When I inquired at the station I found out that
the only train that was going in my direction had already left. I
grew even more desperate, knowing that I was in big trouble.
Indeed, I had to beg absolute strangers for lifts from France, all
the way through Germany into Switzerland.
I have been at many train stations where I have been told,
“This is the only train that leaves this station and it leaves once
a day”; and because it is the first and the last train, you are going
to be stuck there in the cold, at the mercy of the elements of the
weather if you miss it. As I continued to live in Europe I came
to appreciate what it meant when there was only one train going
somewhere. If you missed it you were doomed. You could not
afford to miss it!
How important it is to catch the train, the plane or the bus
when it is the first and the last!
Jesus Christ is the First and the Last Saviour of the world.
He is the First and the Last Lover of this world.
He is the First and Last Son of God!
He is the First and the Last Shepherd! He is the First and the
Last Way to God! If you miss Him you are doomed to dwell in
darkness and eternal hell and damnation.

2. Jesus is the First and the Last Saviour; there will be
no other saviour. Jesus is the first and last person God
will send to this world.
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten
Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish,
but have everlasting life.
John 3:16
Many people claimed to have come to save the world but
were unable to do so.
a. Many African presidents claimed that they were saving
their nations through coup d’états, revolutions, democratic
changes and political reforms. The only thing that has
happened is that they have left Africa poorer and more
destitute.
b. Hitler claimed to be a saviour of Germany with his Nazi
party. By the time he left power, fifty million people were
dead.
c. Stalin claimed to be a saviour of the Soviet Union. But
he starved Russia and killed millions of ordinary people.
Stalin killed even more people than Hitler.

3. Jesus is the First and the Last Saviour; there will
be no other saviour. Jesus is the First and the Last
person who died on the cross and shed His blood for
us.
No one else’s life or blood can save mankind. There is power
in the blood of Jesus. The blood of Jesus is the blood of the
Lamb of God and it is precious.
Martin Luther King died for the freedom and liberty of black
people in America. Many years after, black people in America
are still the poorest, the least educated, they live in the poorest
housing and have the poorest health conditions out of all the
American communities. No one’s life or blood could save this
world.
Jesus Christ died on the cross to shed His blood for the world.
It is only through the blood of the cross that you can be saved.
And having made peace through the blood of his cross,
by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say,
whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.
Colossians 1:20

In whom WE HAVE REDEMPTION THROUGH HIS
BLOOD, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches
of his grace;
Ephesians 1:7
But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have
fellowship one with another, and THE BLOOD OF JESUS
CHRIST HIS SON CLEANSETH US FROM ALL SIN.
1 John 1:7

4. Jesus is the First and the Last Saviour; there will be
no other saviour. Jesus Christ is the One who has the
keys of death and hell.
Therefore it is only Jesus Christ who can keep you out of
hell. If you miss Jesus Christ, you would have missed your
opportunity to go to Heaven.
Jesus has the keys and so controls the access to Heaven. Jesus
is the only One who has the ability to keep you from going into
your deserved punishment of going to hell.
